Thank you for your purchase from Kitakaturi. We stand by the quality of our handcrafted jewelry. This policy outlines the specific conditions under which a refund may be issued.
1. Our Refund Policy
Due to the unique and handcrafted nature of our jewelry, we only offer refunds in the rare event of a manufacturing defect or damage incurred during shipping. We do not offer refunds for reasons of dissatisfaction, change of mind, or for items that are not defective or damaged.
Our policy is distinct from our exchange policy, which is available for certain circumstances. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges Policy for more information on exchanges.
2. Eligibility for a Refund
In the rare event that you receive an item with a manufacturing defect or damage from shipping, you may be eligible for a refund. To be considered for a refund, you must:
- Notify us within 2 days of receipt of your order by emailing hello@kitakaturi.com.
- In your email, you must provide a detailed description of the issue and include clear photographs to help us assess the damage or defect.
Returns that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted. We will not issue refunds for wear and tear, accidental damage, or lost items.
3. Processing Your Refund
Once your request is received, we will conduct a stringent quality check. If the defect or damage is confirmed, we will send you an email confirming that the refund has been accepted. The item(s) must be returned unworn and in perfect condition (aside from the reported defect/damage) and in its original packaging.
4. Refund Amount & Non-Refundable Platform Fees
If your refund is approved, it will be processed and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment.
Please be aware that all refunds will be issued for the original purchase price of the product, minus any payment gateway or platform fees incurred during the initial transaction. These fees are charged by our payment service provider (Razorpay) to process the transaction and are non-refundable to us, even if a refund is issued. As such, these fees are also non-refundable to the customer.
Example: If an item costs ₹5,000 and the platform fee is 2% (₹100), your refund amount will be ₹4,900.
